October's Daybook

Outside My Window...is a roof repair guy who is fixing our sofett, it sagged a little in the last wind storm.

I am thinking... that today was a good day, took my Mom out for her birthday.

I am thankful for... Casey and Alex. And the big girls who defended the yard last night!

From the craft room...knitting like crazy to finish up a bunch of languishing projects. See my pumpkins below!

From the kitchen... PF Chang's leftover! YUMMY!

I am wearing... jean skirt, black tee and flops.

I am creating... to-do lists for next week, it's a packed week with a large load of homework and events.

I am going... no where and happy about that! I love staying home.

I am reading... The girl who played with fire, damn good!

I am hoping... that some contracts in the works fulfill soon!

I am hearing... Alex's video game, mindless fun for a Friday afternoon.

One of my favorite things...clean warm sheets, which reminds me that I want to bring out the down comforters this weekend.

Thoughts on School: Night classes are not my thing, HATE not being home at night. I can't wait for this semester to be over with. But at least my Accounting prof is amazing and damn funny.

January 19th DayBook

Outside My Window... it is foggy and damp. But we are supposed to hit the 70's this week, yay!

I am thinking... about my packed schedule, I just set my work schedule through April, I am insane.

I am thankful for... school, seriously love it!

From the craft room... Crafts?? None till the summer, except for some random stitching when I am really in need of crafting.

From the kitchen... stews and soups and crockpot meals, and tonight I made corn bread just to go with leftovers. Yummy.

I am wearing... a night gown!

I am creating... this week's homework list and work ahead list.

I am going... review tomorrow's Math sections and read my Govt. Chapter and notes and start the notes for the next Chapter. I am a geek.

I am reading... just finished a book last night and have realized that I need mindless reading for bed even though I am crammed with school work. Must hit up the library soon!

I am hoping... for Casey work, we need it.

I am hearing... favorite play list, hmmm, iPod in the math lab tomorrow.

One of my favorite things... a freshly vacuumed house, you don't want to know how many times I had to empty the Dyson.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
Wednesday: School and homework
Thursday: Work and scouts at night
Friday: Work and grocery shopping!
Saturday: Nada!
Sunday: Homework, prepping for the new week.

Thoughts on School: I freaking love my English professor and not just because she gave me A's on all my work last week but because we totally get each other. :) Love that connection to a professor. My Govt. professor is CRAZY, so far he has yelled JEWS in class and gave a lecture on slang. My US History teacher ROCKS MY SOCKS, love love love her class. I hated hated hated the article we had to read and respond to this week though. Student Development, oh so lame, at least it is an easy A. Math, I really like having it at 8am and I like the idea of the math lab, going tomorrow to knock out homework and required time. I can't believe I have to start planning Summer and Fall classes all ready! Registration starts in two months. Oh man, I am a school geek.

For Today...

Outside my Window...it looks gloomy, no bright sunshine yet. But no rain either.

I am thankful for... the hard work my husband does to provide for us. Our sons amazing creativity! Our dogs who killed yet another snake this morning. Go Pups!

I am wearing...a night gown, still.

I am reading...my bible and a Proverbs 31 study, who put peanut butter on my planner, to help me get back on track for the school year that is right around the corner.

I am hoping...to stay on track for these next two weeks.

The Simple Women DayBook

I have decided to start partcipating in Peggy's Simple Women Daybook posts. You can join in too or read what others are up to right here! It is a great reminder of our daily lives and the small things that I try to remember.

For Monday July 7 2008...

Outside My Window... Is a much needed rainstorm. It is fabulous to finally have some rain, the trickeling sounds from the windows are great.

I am thinking... that I have alot to accomplish this week, so I best make a list!

I am thankful for... my hard working husband. He left just days after our return from vacation. A vacation that was gifted to us due to his talent and hard work. Thank you Casey!

From the kitchen... Black bean burgers and guacamole, I guess I brought a taste for mexico home with me.

I am wearing... Jean shorts and a tank, all slightly damp from our mad dash through the rain with our Costco supplies.

I am creating... A massive to-do list, and must admit to a strong hankering for scrapbooking. Plus I have Christmas presents that are in the works and I would like to finish so that I am way ahead of the game.

I am going... nowhere for the rest of today. Only up and down our stairs.

I am reading... World War Z. I put it down so I wouldn't read any accounts of zombies in Mexico while I was IN Mexico.

I am hoping... for a busy fruitful week. So much I would like to do. Nothing like being away from your home for a week that makes you want to "make more home".

I am hearing... Alex make X-Wing sounds. That kid loves his Lego's and the challenges of making Star Wars lego figures. Apparently he watched all three original SW's at my parents house every day last week. I believe it.

Around the house... is laundry piles, (how did I get so much so dirty when all I wore last week was my bathing suits and sarong), suitcases, and various other things that have proper homes but haven't found them yet.

One of my favorite things... is the luminare that Casey and I made for Alex. Picture to come soon.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
Cleaning, Laundry, some work days, some play days, and time in the garden!

Here is picture thought I am sharing...
